Lawrenceburg Council approves establishment of usage fees
Lawrenceburg Now
Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council who met in regular session Thursday approved two ordinances regarding the establishment of usage fees for city recreational facilities.
The first ordinances is, “To fix a Bobby Brewer Memorial Park Ballfield reservation agreement.” The ordinance establishes a $25, non-refundable fee to cover the cost of lighting the ball fields, with a minimum of two hours per reservation. Organizations wishing to rent the facilities are required to provide proof of liability insurance, as well.
The fee is intended for use by organizations other than Lawrenceburg League Teams and does not affect local teams. It will become effective on May 12, 2017.
The second ordinance approved establishes fees for many of the city’s facilities overseen through the city’s Parks and Recreation Department.
Those fees include: Summer Day Camp - $15 per child per day for 5 to 12 year olds, and $9 per child per day for 13 to 15 year olds;
Silver Sneakers Class - $2 per person per class to pay the instructor (free if covered by individual insurance policies);
Girls Softball League - $45 for one-child family, $80 for families with more than one participating child, and $12 per shirt for parent team T-shirts;
Women’s Volleyball League - $100 per team;
Men’s Softball League - $150 per team;
CoEd Softball League - $150 per team;
Yoga Classes – fees are tiered from $13 for a single class to a package that provides unlimited classes for $100;
Rotary Park Swimming Pool – daily admission of $5 per person aged 4 years and above (3 years & under free),
Season passes, $50 per individual and $150 per family of four (there is an additional $20 fee for each additional family member), replacement passes $20, and rental of the facilities $100 per hour;
Swimming Lessons - $30 per person per class;
Water Aerobics - $3 per person per class to pay instructor; Old Armory Rental - $35 per four-hour increment;
Bobby Brewer Softball Field - $25 per team (for tournaments), $50 additional for temporary fencing, and $25 additional for dragging fields.
Fees for gymnastics classes are paid to the overseeing organization with a monthly percentage being paid to the city.
