Arrest Made In Sexual Battery Case

   An arrest has been made in connection with allegations of sexual battery levied against a Lawrence County businessman.

   Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department show that George Grimes Hutton, age 74, of Toben Terrace, was placed under arrest on one count of sexual battery around 11:15 Friday, April 24.

   Hutton was arrested on a capias issued through the Lawrence County Grand Jury on March 27. The case is based upon allegations made by a twenty-seven-year-old Lawrenceburg woman. The victim alleged that Hutton made unlawful sexual contact with her while she was inside his North Locust business on December 14, 2008.

   Hutton was arrested by Lawrenceburg Police Officers, assisted by Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Josh Melton.

   Hutton is scheduled for an initial appearance in Lawrence County Circuit Court on Monday, May 11, 2009.
