Two Businesses Cited For Selling Alcohol To A Minor

   During an operation geared toward ensuring that local businesses are abiding by laws regarding the sell of alcoholic beverages, two Lawrenceburg businesses were issued citations for selling alcoholic beverages to a minor.

   According to a press release issued by Chief Neil Skinner of the Lawrenceburg Police Department, the operation, jointly conducted through his department and the Alcoholic Beverage Commission, took place March 26. He reports, “This operation was conducted to ensure that the businesses were abiding by the identification laws of the state.”

   As a result of the operation, Skinner indicates that two businesses were issued citations for Unlawful Sale to a Minor. They include:  Liquor for Less, 315 South Locust Avenue, and Northend Liquors, 2455 Highway 43 North.

   Owners of both establishments are slated to answer the charges through Lawrence County General Sessions Court on Tuesday, May 6, 2008.
