Woman Bitten On Face During Domestic Altercation
A Leoma man was arrested Monday after his girlfriend reported that he had bitten her face during a domestic altercation.
The victim, age 18, came to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department to report the assault. She reported that at around 5:00 a.m. she and boyfriend Reed Garris, age 23, became engaged in an argument during which he bit her on the right cheek.
The reporting officer noted that the victim had what appeared to be a bite mark on her cheek with dried blood around it.
Warrants were issued against Garris on charges of aggravated domestic assault. He was arrested at his place of employment and transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center without incident.
