Swing Into Spring Concert May 3rd

The 25th Annual Swing into Spring Concert sponsored by First Volunteer Bank will be Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Old Crockett Theatre starting at 7:00. 

This concert will feature the bands and choirs of Lawrence County and the grand finale is the mass band performance of all three high school bands performing with guest conductor Mr. Rick Murphy.

Currently in his first year at North Pontotoc High School in Mississippi and retired after 33 years of Tennessee teaching experience where he was director of bands at Columbia Central High School, Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Bands at Middle Tennessee State University and in the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. 

His bands have consistently rated super in both marching and concert venues and he is a five-time Gold Medal winner at MTSU’s Contest of Champions.  Mr. J. P. Plant will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the evening. 

Tickets are $10 and maybe purchased from any of the three high schools band or choir students. 

Advance tickets sales will end on April 29 but tickets can be purchased the night of the event at the door.
