Runner Bitten By Dog
A man running in the Leoma area Monday evening sought medical attention after being bitten by a dog.
Reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department show that Barry Hugh Kennedy, 32, of Kennedy Road, was running around 6:30 p.m. when he was bitten by a dog belonging to a resident of 2245 Fall River Road. Kennedy reported that the Boxer bit him as he ran along the roadway, past the residence.
Owner Janaya Lashon Cox indicated the dog had escaped from his pen and told deputies that he was up to date on his vaccinations.
Kennedy was treated for the bite wound at One Stop Medical.
