Indictment Issued In 2008 Crash
A local man has been arrested on charges stemming from a 2008 automobile crash during which he and his three passengers sustained injuries.
Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department reports show that Randall Anthony White, 46, of 300 Virginia Drive, Lawrenceburg, was booked through the Detention Center Monday on one count of driving under the influence of an intoxicant and three counts of vehicular assault.
Reports filed through the Tennessee Highway Patrol on January 22, 2008 showed that White was the driver of a 2004 GMC Envoy transporting passengers Bobbie Stone, Trista Bailey and Emma Steadman.
Reports showed that White was eastbound on Mattoxtown Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control in a curve. The vehicle rolled several times before colliding with a Dodge Durango driven by Jesse Orton.
While Orton and his passengers escaped the ordeal unharmed, all four individuals in the White vehicle sustained injuries and were airlifted from the scene to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Two of the passengers were said to have been ejected from the vehicle.
White is scheduled to answer the charges against him through Lawrence County Circuit Court on Monday, May 2, 2011.
