Burglars Make Off With ATM

Burglars who broke into a Leoma market overnight Sunday apparently entered the business with the sole purpose of stealing an automatic teller machine.

Lawrenceburg Police Officers responded to the 4:12 a.m. call to Rick’s BBQ and Country Store, 2347 Highway 43 South. Reports show that the morning staff had arrived at the market to open for the day, when they found that someone had busted out a window.

Officers report making contact with owner Rick Lanning. He quickly allowed them to review video surveillance footage of the crime.

According to reports, surveillance cameras captured images of two men busting out the window at 11:50 p.m., entering the store, then stealing the ATM. Nothing else was reported stolen.

Both men, officers report, were wearing hoodies and gloves.

Damages from the broken window are estimated to total $800.00. At the time reports were filed, officers had not yet obtained a value on the ATM.
