Wires Cut Out Of Home

A Centerville man arrived at his Rabbit Trail Road property during the weekend to find that someone had broken in and cut all available wiring out of the home.

Billy Ralph Lynch, 43, of Centerville, summoned Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies to his property on Rabbit Trail Road around 9:30 Saturday morning. He stated that he had come to the property and discovered a pad lock had been cut from his shed. A quick look around revealed that he culprits had also busted windows from the basement and the rear door.

When he entered the basement, Lynch said he found that all the exposed wiring had been cut from the basement area as well as from his well pump and a sump pump. In addition, he discovered that the thief had made his way up stairs where he cut wiring from a microwave oven, two heaters and a dehumidifier. Nothing else appeared to be missing.

The case has been handed over for continued investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
