Man Rams Girlfriend’s Car And Hits Her In Stomach With Brick

Law enforcement officials were summoned to intervene last week after a Lawrenceburg resident’s vehicle was allegedly rammed several times by her boyfriend and she was struck in the stomach with a brick.

The victim, age 26, summoned Lawrenceburg Police Officers to her Hoover Street home shortly before 8:30 p.m. Thursday. She reported that her boyfriend, age 24, was drunk and had become angered when she took his keys from him. She told officers that she had gone outside and shut herself inside her 1998 Chevrolet Malibu. He then reportedly followed, climbing into a 1998 Ford Explorer.

According to the victim, her boyfriend rammed her car several times on the left side, pushing it into the yard. When they exited their vehicles, she stated that he struck her in the stomach with a brick.

A second victim, a thirty-five-year-old resident of College Avenue, reported that the man then chased her down the street while holding a brick, because she had been attempting to call for police assistance.

Officers report that the man had left the premises prior to their arrival, but that he did telephone the girlfriend several times while they were taking statements. During the calls he allegedly made threats toward the victim, her house, and her friends.

The victim refused to sign warrants at the time reports were filed, but indicated that she would be willing to speak with domestic violence investigators.

Damages to the victim’s car were estimated at $1,600.00.
