Wednesday evening crash into building attributed to stuck accelerator

Lawrenceburg Now

Authorities indicate that the Wednesday night crash of a truck into a Lawrenceburg medical facility is being attributed to the vehicle’s accelerator becoming stuck.

The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. at Fast Pace Urgent Care Clinic on Locust Avenue. The truck crashed through the glass front of the building, injuring two employees.
The driver reportedly told investigators that he had backed into a pole and when he attempted to pull forward, the accelerator became stuck, propelling him toward the building. He was unable to stop before crashing into the clinic.
