Lawrenceburg Man Arrested On Fugitive Of Justice Warrant
A Lawrenceburg man was taken into custody by law enforcement officials last week on a fugitive of justice warrant stemming from charges filed against him in the State of Alabama.
On Friday, deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department report that Howard Latori Watkins, 24, of 325 May Street, was arrested at the sheriff’s department on the fugitive of justice charge.
Reports show that Watkins signed a waiver for extradition that allows him to quickly be returned to Alabama for prosecution.
Watkins was originally charged with the crime of theft of property over $500. That charge was issued out of Killen, Alabama.
Watkins is slated to answer the fugitive of justice charge through Lawrence County General Sessions Court on April 19, 2010.
