Resident Pursues Trespasser
A Lawrenceburg woman reported to law enforcement officials Monday that she gave chase to a man she found trespassing in her back yard.
The victim, a resident of Christopher Lane, reported the incident Monday morning to deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. She indicated she stepped out of her house around 10:00 a.m. to find a stranger in her back yard.
When he saw the resident, she said the intruder ran to a white SUV bearing dealer plates and got inside. A second man was waiting inside the vehicle, both white males, and they fled from the area.
The victim told deputies she gave chase, but lost sight of the vehicle as it was heading west on Highway 64.
The matter remains under investigation at the present time.
