Spring Fling Carnival Is Coming

The Spring Fling Carnival will once again be located at the Sears Shopping Center and will be in operation from Thursday, April 16th through Sunday, April 19th. The Spring Fling Carnival is sponsored each year by the Friends of Lawrenceburg.

This year's midway will be provided by Colwell Traveling Amusement Park, a Tennessee company who will have lots of fun rides, concessions, and games - all at very affordable prices for the entire family.

**Opening day is Thursday, April 16th and will be "Dollar Day" from 5:00pm until 10:00pm with all rides only costing $1.00.

**Friday, April 17th is "Armband Day" from 5:00pm - 10:00pm with each armband costing $12.00 which will allow participants to ride all rides as many times as they wish.

**Saturday, April 18th is "Kid's Day" with a special price of $8.00 from 1:00 until

5:00pm.

**Sunday, April 19th is "Family Day" with a special price of $15.00 and "buy one, get one free" from 1:00pm until 6:00pm.

The Friends of Lawrenceburg, a philanthropic group of local citizens, sponsor the springtime carnival each year to raise funds for special projects for our city. This group is presently raising funds to purchase an Outdoor Theatre System which will present opportunities for movies and special television events to be shown outdoors, much like the nostalgic "drive-in theatres" we enjoyed many years ago.

Coupled with the other exciting events during 'Do Dah Days' (community-wide yard sales at Rotary Park) the carnival promises to provide exciting and safe rides, delicious food, and lots of fun for the entire family. A traveling amusement company from East Tennessee will be providing the carnival which will be in full operation Thursday through Sunday, April 16th through April 19th. The Friends of Lawrenceburg are sponsoring this year's carnival to raise funds for an Outdoor Theatre System that the entire community can enjoy.

Anne Morrow, event coordinator, encourages everyone to take advantage of the recreational activities in our community this coming weekend, "We are very excited and happy to be able to bring this fun event to our town during the beautiful spring season. There will be lots of opportunities to have fun...shopping at the Rotary Park and treating your kids to the Spring Fling Carnival. And, please don't forget the Ronny McDowell Concert at the Historic Crockett Theatre on Saturday night, April 18th, at 6:30pm. All in all, this event definitely spells F - U - N !!"

To reserve a 10X10 space at Rotary Park to have a yard sale, please call 762-4459 and dial 0 for the Operator. Spaces are $10.00 per day. Fundraisers and food vendors are also welcome to participate.
