Resident Garners Probation On Rape, Incest Charges

   A Lawrenceburg man charged with the crimes of aggravated statutory rape and incest entered a guilty plea in Lawrence County Circuit Court last week.

   David Johnson, 45, appeared before Lawrence County Circuit Court Judge Robert Holloway on Monday. He was originally arrested on the charges on November 20, 2004. He was then served a capias in 2007.

   On Monday Johnson appeared on a criminal information basis. In connection with a plea bargain agreement he entered a plea of guilty to one count of aggravated statutory rape.

   Under the terms of the agreement Johnson will serve four years of probation and will be listed on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Sex Offender Registry for a period of up to ten years.
