Agenda Announced For April 16 Meeting Of Lawrenceburg Council

Members of the governing board of the City of Lawrenceburg are scheduled to meet in regular session Thursday morning, April 16, to consider a few items of business.

The sole ordinance scheduled for a vote is Ordinance 1074. The ordinance, to be considered on second and final reading, calls for amendments to the city’s 2010-2011 budget.

Council members are to consider passage of two resolutions. The first would allow the board to enter into a lease agreement with the Lawrence County Board of Education “for what is known as the city dog pound property” to be used as a trap shooting range.

The second resolution to be considered would allow the board to enter into a lease agreement with the Lawrence County Historical Society for the Old Jail Museum on Waterloo Street.

In addition to these business items, the board will be privy to a presentation by the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will get underway at 8:30 a.m. inside the commission meeting room of the Lawrenceburg City Administration Building on West Gaines Street.
