Friday Crime Report

Vehicle burglary

Police officers recently responded to a Belew Drive home where the resident reported that someone had stolen a gym bag, backpack, other bags, socks, and prescription glasses out of his 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt, resulting in a loss of approximately $420.

Vehicle burglary

Police officers were dispatched to a Ninth Street home where the resident reported a theft from her 2015 Jeep Cherokee. She told officers that her white North Face jacket and a pair of Costa sunglasses, with a combined value of $270, were missing.

Vehicle burglary

A Leoma resident requested assistance from officers while at a Lawrenceburg business last week. She reported that while she had been buying groceries, someone entered her 2004 Mercury in the parking lot and stole $16.74 worth of household items she had purchased shortly before at Fred’s.

Vehicle burglary

A GPS device and Leatherman tool were reported stolen out of a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe at a home on Toben Terrace. Also missing were the owner’s THP identification and credentials as well as his driver’s license. Loss was said to be $587.

Theft

On Sunday a resident of Fourth Street in Lawrenceburg reported that a red and black, 26”, boy’s Mountain bike had been stolen out of his front yard. It had an estimated value of $130.

Theft

On Monday officers were called to a home on Buffalo Road where a female resident reported that a visitor had taken eight of her prescription pain pills, refusing to return them, then left her home.

Theft

Police officers were sent to a Debus Street home to investigate the theft of a cell phone in the early hours Wednesday. The victim reported that he had plugged it in to charge while he was at a Debus Street home, but that it was gone when he returned to retrieve it from the coffee table.

Shoplifting

Police officers were summoned to Walmart on North Locust Avenue Monday where security personnel reported that a Texas resident, who had previously been banned from entering all Walmart properties, had been caught shoplifting. Personnel were able to recover more than $300 worth of merchandise.
