Lawrenceburg Commission To Meet Thursday

   Members of the board that governs the City of Lawrenceburg will meet in regular session Thursday to consider a light agenda.

   Commissioners are expected to consider passage of resolutions to:  accept bids for smoke detectors at Crockett Theater, accept bids for mowing services at Mimosa Cemetery, amend the budget for installation of a generator, and approve a purchasing policy.

   Department manager Mike Weathers will address the board, as will Municipal Technical Advisory Services representative Ron Darden who is slated to give a report regarding a sanitation study.

   In addition, the board may be asked to consider voting to appoint Captain Anthony Nugent as the city’s new Chief of Police.

   The meeting, which is open to the public, will get underway at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008, inside the commission meeting room of the Lawrenceburg City Administration Building.
