Lawrence County woman informs local police that she believes her ex husband was fatally poisoned.

 

The Lawrenceburg police department received a call from on March 27th stating she believed someone had poisoned her ex husband, Andrew Wilkins.

She told officers that her ex husband lives in Florida, but that he was staying at her house for a while visiting the two children they have together.

On March 25th, her ex husband was at her West Taylor street home with their two children, and her current boyfriend. That following night around 11:00 p.m. her ex husband became severely ill, and that is when she drove him to Southern Regional hospital in town.

she told officers her ex husband let her know that while he was at her home he drank a Pepsi that tasted really strange.

On March 26th he was transferred from local hospital to North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama. Her ex husband died the following day on March 27th at 12:15 a.m. at the Alabama hospital.

Investigators filed report stating that she believed someone had poisoned her ex husband, and that is when the investigation started with collecting evidence from her home.

An autopsy was ordered by investigators, and conducted by Forensics out of Nashville.

This is an ongoing investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time. Will update when more information is available.
