Indictments Returned Against Men Accused In Burglary Spree

Indictments have been returned against two local young men, charged in connection with a burglary spree that occurred in the Springer Road area in January.

Members of a Lawrence County Grand Jury have charged Dylan Jonathan Martin, 19, of Carroll Avenue with 18 counts of burglary, 18 counts of vandalism, and five counts of Theft.

John Curtis Kingsbury, II, 21, also of Carroll Avenue, has been indicted on 21 counts of burglary, 21 counts of vandalism and 6 counts of theft.

The pair was arrested, along with Pulaski resident Andrew Thomas Clark, age 20 of Short School Road, who garnered a single burglary charge.

The trio was allegedly arrested as the result of the commission of a burglary at 1101 Springer Road. The elderly resident had been hospitalized. His daughter reported she had come home to find an unfamiliar truck in the driveway and Clark hiding in the bushes. She blocked the truck with her vehicle and Clark left on foot.

Officers located Clark shortly afterwards. During questioning he reportedly gave officers the names of his accomplices and told them where to find the stolen items. As a result, more than $10,000 worth of property was recovered.

Both Martin and Kingsbury are next scheduled for an appearance in Lawrence County Circuit Court on May 13, 2012.
