Vehicle Damaged Outside Summertown Home

A Summertown woman reported to law enforcement officers Wednesday that her vehicle had sustained damage, possibly at the hands of vandals.

The victim, age 30, reported the incident to deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. She indicated that she had exited her North Brace Road Wednesday morning to find the grille on her GMC Envoy had been damaged. Inspection revealed that some additional damage was also sustained.

Deputies report that a large rock was found lodged in the grille. The vehicle had been parked near the roadway in the front yard.

The victim speculated that either someone had thrown the rock into the vehicle intentionally, or it fell from a truck as it passed her home.

Damages to the vehicle were estimated to total $500.
