Suspects Apprehended In Saturday Home Invasion

Two suspects alleged to have been involved in a home invasion incident at a home on Jane Drive Saturday night, were quickly apprehended by Lawrenceburg Police Officers.

According to a press release issued by Lawrenceburg Police Chief Judy Moore, the home invasion occurred around 11:00 p.m. Saturday. The male resident reported he awakened to find a man standing inside his living room. He told officers he was home with his two granddaughters.

Once the intruders fled, the resident discovered approximately $7,000 worth of items missing. He was able to provide officers with a description of the suspect. Officers then began to search the area.

A traffic stop made during the night yielded additional clues in the case. This led officers to Walmart on North Locust Avenue where they were able to gather evidence linking two individuals to the crime.

Officers later located a suspect vehicle at a home situated at 1606B Old Florence Road. When they made contact with the residents, officers report a female suspect was in the process of flushing evidence down a toilet. The male suspect was located in the back yard.

A search warrant was obtained for the property. During the ensuing search officers report seizing evidence that links the suspects to the Jane Drive home invasion.

As a result of the operation Colt Chambers 27, was arrested on charges of aggravated burglary, theft over $1,000, and possession with intent to manufacture a controlled substance (marijuana).

Holley Renee Fisher, 29, was arrested on charges that include possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture (marijuana), and two counts of fraudulent use of a debit/credit card.

Both Chambers and Fisher were transported to the Lawrence County Jail for booking. Moore points out that Chambers is a convicted felon out on parole and that Fisher is a convicted felon on state probation.

At the present time Chambers remains incarcerated in lieu of a $80,000 bond, while Fisher is held in lieu of a $64,000 bond.
