Investigation Initiated Regarding Facebook Threats
A local woman requested that an investigation be opened during the weekend after she found that someone had made threats against her and her family through her Facebook account.
Deputies noted that they saved a copy of a particularly threatening lengthy post, written by a former relative of the family.
The family indicated that during the previous week they had discovered someone had broken the handle on their back door. In addition, they had noticed someone suspiciously parked in the field behind their residence.
A keep watch was placed on the property and the matter was relinquished for further investigation by detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
