Tire Center Reports Theft
Officials with a Lawrenceburg tire center requested that law enforcement officials investigate after a customer left without paying late last week.
Officials with the Walmart Tire Center reported the incident on Friday through the Lawrenceburg Police Department. They indicated that a customer had requested they replace two tires on her 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe.
Once the service had been provided, workers instructed the woman to go to the checkout at the tire center in order to pay for her tires.
They report that she walked toward the checkout area. Workers indicate they then became otherwise occupied and did not realize the woman had not paid for her tires until later.
Officials with the Walmart security division indicate that the woman did not pay her bill of $302.00. They indicated they had made several attempts to contact the woman by telephone, but did not get an answer.
They reported they had left a message for the woman, but that at the time reports were filed she had not returned their call.
Investigation into the matter is on-going at the current time.
