Monday Is Last Day To Register To Vote In Loretto Election
Those interested in casting a vote in the April 22 Loretto City Election are reminded that the last day to register to vote is Monday, March 24, 2014.
Officials with the Lawrence County Election Commission reported in January that five individuals had qualified to vie for two seats on the city’s Board of Aldermen.
Mayoral candidates include incumbent Fred H. Simbeck, Jr., Bill Moore, and Jesse E. Turner. Alderman candidates Richard Burlison and Steve McMasters will vie for the seat currently held by Willie Flippo. Both seats carry a four year term.
The early voting period will run from April 2 through April 17.
To become a registered voter you should stop by the offices of the Election Commission on Centennial Boulevard.
