Resident Says She Was Harassed With Texts Containing Nude Photos
A local female resident requested that law enforcement officials initiate an investigation during the weekend after a man she had just met began texting her messages that contained nude photos.
The victim, age 30, reported to Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies Saturday evening that this had been her first day on the job at an area market.
She said that a male patron had begun to talk to her about a pit bulldog for whom he was trying to find a new home.
Because she was interested in adopting the dog, she said that she exchanged telephone numbers with him.
The victim said that between 6:00 and 6:45 p.m. she received several harassing text messages from the man. Some, she said, included nude photos of various parts of his body.
Deputies attempted to make telephone contact with the man, but report that he refused to answer his cell phone. They are currently continuing to investigate the matter.
