Lawrenceburg Resident's Debit Card Used To Purchase Airline Tickets

   Law enforcement officers were summoned to initiate an investigation last week after a Lawrenceburg man found that someone had illegally used his debit card in order to purchase airline tickets.

   Lawrenceburg Police Officers were dispatched to investigate the fraud incident Thursday morning at First Farmers and Merchants Bank. The victim reported that he had become aware that someone had used his debit card number to make the purchase, without his permission.

   The perpetrator had used the victim’s account to purchase two airline tickets through Delta Airlines at a total price of $1,694.00

   The victim reported he had no idea who could have made the purchase. As soon as he made the discovery, he canceled his account.
