Vandals Damage Loretto Golf Course
Officials with a Loretto golf course reported to law enforcement officials during the weekend that the business had been targeted by vandals.
Course officials reported the crime on Saturday to members of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. They indicated that someone had driven on the course. The act caused significant damage to the sod. In addition, the culprit struck and damaged a sign. Damages were estimated to total $1,500.
The damages reportedly occurred sometime during the morning Saturday. A keep watch was placed on the business.
The matter has been turned over for further investigation by detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division. Anyone who has information that might assist in the investigation is urged to contact the department at 762-3626.
