Investigation Continuing In Weekend ATV Death

   Authorities have yet to release information regarding the death of a teenager who reportedly perished as the result of an ATV accident in the West Point area last weekend, indicating that the investigation is not yet completed.

   The accident, which occurred around 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2008, in the Wisdom Road/Ridge Road area, is said to have claimed the life of an eighteen-year-old female.

   The teen was transported by Life Flight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville where she reportedly died Monday.

   Thursday, officials with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department indicated that the matter remains under investigation and that no further information is yet being released.
