Vandals Damage East Lawrence Church

   Law enforcement officials were summoned to an East Lawrence church building during the weekend after officials there discovered not a theft, as has been the case at numerous churches in past weeks, but damages from vandalism.

   Officials with Harmony Church located at 809 Wesley Chapel Road, summoned Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies to the scene around 9:30 Sunday morning. Church member Pam Kennedy indicated that she had arrived that morning to find that someone had damaged both the parking lot and the building.

   Deputies found that the individual responsible had apparently been spinning tires in the parking lot. The action had thrown rocks about, busting one window. Damages were estimated to total $200.
