Belew Lane Resident Returns To Find House Trashed

A resident of Lawrenceburg’s Belew Lane returned home Saturday afternoon to find her entire home had been trashed and almost everything inside destroyed.

The crime is one currently under investigation by detectives with the Lawrenceburg Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division.

The victim summoned officers to her home around 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Officers report that the culprits had broken into the home by forcing their way through a side door.

Once inside, officers report the culprits busted out windows in the kitchen and bedroom and busted the windows out of French doors. A door to the utility room was destroyed and the victim’s belongings smashed, including a CD player, DVD player, mirrors, lamps, a coffee pot, Dish Network receiver, clocks, ceramic angels, and the victim’s vacuum cleaner.

Officers report that Pine Sol cleaner was poured over the floors throughout the home, and that the culprits, “destroyed the whole house…destroying just about everything in the residence.”
