Loretto Resident Victim Of Identity Theft
A resident of the Loretto area filed a report with law enforcement officials late last week, indicating that someone had used his identity in order to obtain medical treatment.
The victim told deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department that he had received statements from Centennial Medical Center in Nashville regarding services “he had received” between February 18 and 25. He explained to deputies that he had received no such services.
In addition, the victim said he had received two other statements regarding “Behavioral Health Services” received at Centennial from February 22 to the 24.
The victim told deputies he had contacted the company that issued the statements and explained the situation to them. He said they advised him to file a report with his local law enforcement agency before any further action could be taken.
