Shopper Reports Wallet Stolen From Cart

A West Point resident reported to authorities Tuesday that her wallet had apparently been stolen from a shopping cart at a Lawrenceburg grocery store.

The victim, age 36, reported the incident through the Lawrenceburg Police Department. She indicated that she had been shopping at Save A Lot, located at 254 East Gaines Street, around 6:30 Tuesday evening. She indicated that she had left her long, black, folding wallet in her cart while loading groceries into her vehicle. She then left the premises.

After realizing her error, the victim said she returned to the parking lot and checked with store officials, but that her wallet was nowhere to be found. The wallet contained check books and bank cards, along with several forms of identification and personal documents.
