Last week, county and city officials met with representatives of IDIADA

Last week, county and city officials met with representatives of IDIADA, an Italian based automotive engineering and testing company, to sign contracts to conduct a feasibility study in Lawrence County.

The 5 month study will determine whether Lawrence County is suitable for a Mobility Proving Grounds Project, which would be a test track for the automotive and tire industries.

The study is being funded by a $250,000 grant from the State of Tennessee.

If the project materializes, it is believed that Lawrence County could stand to gain hundreds of new jobs and millions of dollars in investment.
