Local Man Fatal Crash.

A Lawrenceburg man was killed while two other people were injured on HWY 43 near Old Jackson Hwy at approximately 11:30pm on Saturday night.

According to the report a 2006 Chrysler driven by Johnny Scott, 58, of Lawrenceburg was southbound in the north bound lane of HWY 43 and hit a Land Rover head on.

The Land Rover was driven by Thomas Blalock, 33, of Thompson Station. Kendra Long, 29, of Thompson Station who was a passenger in Blalock's vehicle.

According to Maury County EMS all those involved were trapped in the vehicles and had to be extricated. Scott was killed in the crash, Blalock and long both was injured. At least one of the injured was airlifted to Vanderbilt.

The trooper says in his report that alcohol was a factor and both drivers were tested.

The report also stated that criminal charges are pending.

Blalock was issued citations for not wearing his seat belt and failure to change address.
