Safe Stolen From Office Of Apartment Complex

   Detectives with the Lawrenceburg Police Department have been handed a case involving the theft of a small safe from the office of a local apartment complex.

   Employee Michelle Rigsby summoned officers to the office at Oak Grove Apartments at 405 Oak Street, around 9:20 Monday morning. She stated that she had come to work that morning only to find that someone had kicked in the rear door.

   Once inside, officers report that the perpetrator stole a small safe that contained some $1,769.00 in checks, cash, and money orders.

   The matter has been handed over for more thorough investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division. Anyone who has information regarding the crime is encouraged to contact the department at 762-2276.
