Driver Uses Vehicle To Vandalize Property
A vandal who damaged property in the West Point area last week apparently used his vehicle to inflict the damages.
Property Owner Jeff Wilcoxson summoned Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies to the Story Road property around noon Saturday. He explained that a 26 foot awning, enclosed trailer and a wooden fence with a gate had all sustained damage.
Deputies noted it appeared the perpetrator had used a vehicle in order to cause the damages. Damages were said to total around $6,000.
A neighbor reported noticing a green Dodge truck pulling away from the property and was able to provide deputies with a license plate number. Investigation in the matter is currently continuing through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
