Resident Discovers Stolen Signs And Mailbox Dumped Near Her Home

A resident of the Park Grove area returning home during the weekend found that someone had dumped a number of signs and a mailbox near her home.

The resident summoned Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies to the area around 11:00 p.m. Saturday. She indicated that as she approached her home she saw that road, church and business signs had been dumped in the roadway, while the mailbox was dumped at the end of her driveway.

Deputies recovered two county-owned stop signs along with signs from Cloverdale Church, Tennessee Camp Congregational Methodist Church, and Cash Express check cashing.

At the time reports were filed deputies were working to return the signs to the rightful owners. They indicated, however, that there were no identifying markings on the mailbox.

Anyone with information regarding the matter should direct inquiries to the sheriff’s department at 762-3626.
