Man Run Over By Car During Domestic Altercation

A Five Points man is recuperating after his girlfriend ran over him with her car during a domestic altercation Saturday.

According to reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department the incident occurred just after midnight Saturday morning. Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene of the incident at 1821 Mahr Avenue.

The victim, a thirty-one-year-old resident of Second Creek Road, told officers he and his girlfriend, age 30, had been discussing their relationship and that the discussion became somewhat heated. He said the girlfriend was inside her car and at one point began to drive away.

The victim said he grabbed hold of the driver window “trying to get her to stop and talk.” When he failed to let go he said he lost his grip and struck the ground. The rear tire of the car then ran over the left side of his body.

The victim was transported to Crockett Hospital for medical attention.

At the time reports were filed no charges had been issued in connection with the matter.
