Burglars enter David Street home, leave empty-handed

Although the back door had been kicked open while they were gone, residents of Lawrenceburg’s David Street reported that nothing seemed to be missing from their home.
The victims, ages 58 and 68, filed a complaint with Lawrenceburg Police officers on Monday regarding the break-in.

They said they had been away from their home for approximately 2 ½ hours running errands, returning to find that the back door was standing open.

They reported that someone had let their dog out of the kennel and the kennel had been moved out of the bedroom.

A clothes hamper had been moved to the middle of the hallway, as well. Numerous items lying around in the home, including jewelry and medications, were left undisturbed.

The residents reported their only loss appeared to be around $50 worth of damage done to the door handle and lock.
