Truck Stolen From Leoma Home

A Leoma man reported to authorities Monday that his truck had been stolen sometime overnight.

The victim reported that his 2003 Chevrolet truck had been parked in front of his barn while he was feeding his animals at around 9:30 the previous evening. He told deputies he was uncertain whether he had locked the vehicle, but said that he was still in possession of the keys.

A neighbor reported hearing a truck on the roadway around 3:00 a.m. that “sounded like” the victim’s vehicle.

Deputies conducted a search of the area to no avail. A BOLO was issued, alerting other law enforcement officials to the theft.

Loss resulting from the crime is estimated to total $7,000.
