Council To Consider Action On Several Topics Of Interest

Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council meeting in regular session
Thursday morning will consider action on a number of resolutions about which much interest has recently been expressed.

The first item on the agenda is a resolution to enter into an agreement with Sparkman & Associates Architects, Inc., for improvements and restoration of the marquee and facade at the Lawrenceburg Crockett Theater.

Council members will consider whether to enter into an agreement with Trestles LLC for services that will move the city toward the expansion of its current demolition landfill.

Members of the council are asked to decide whether the city will submit an application for $500,000 in home grant funds through the Tennessee Housing Development Agency.

The last agenda item seeks to have the city contract with Cleghorn Land Surveying to complete a topographic survey in relation to a Downtown Enhancement Grant that will allow renovations to the Public Square.

The public is invited to attend Thursday’s meeting. It will get underway at 8:30 a.m. at the Lawrenceburg City Administration Building on East Gaines Street.
