Leaders Agree To Fund Waterline Extension Project
Lawrence County leaders have agreed to allocate funds for a waterline extension project along a roadway in the Loretto area.
During their Tuesday meeting members of the Lawrence County Board of Commissioners were asked to approve a budget amendment, allocating up to $7,500 for waterline extension along Johnson’s Lane. They indicated that they have partnered with local city utility systems and utility districts in the past, paying for materials needed in various projects.
Funding for this project will be designated through the Economic and Community Development Fund, “and if needed transferred from the General Fund.”
Under the resolution approved, the project plan must gain state approval before the funds will be expended.
