Irate Patron Busts Door Of Bank

Law enforcement reports show that a patron at a Lawrenceburg bank who became irate late last week, busted a door when he was leaving.

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department answered the 9:30 a.m. call to the 225 North Locust Avenue Bank of America location Friday.

Bank officials reported that a white male who identified himself as “Matt Olive” of Florence, Alabama, had come into the bank earlier, asking to cash a check made out to a female Florence resident.

When they informed the man that they would be unable to cash the check for him, officials report he became upset. When he left the bank, they indicate he broke the glass from a front exterior door. The man then left the premises in a small silver car, heading south on Highway 43.

Although officers conducted a sweep of the area, they were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

Damages are estimated to total $300.
