Burglars Leave Resident With Thousands In Losses
A local woman experienced thousands of dollars worth of loss last week after burglars targeted her Knob Creek Road home.
Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department made their way to 191 Knob Creek Road where the resident, age 49, reported someone had entered her home through an unlocked door, locked her dog inside a back bedroom, and stolen several items.
Items stolen included an iPod touch, several pieces of gold jewelry, a half full bottle of bourbon, and $8,600 cash.
Altogether, deputies report that the victim was out $11,600. Investigation into the crime is on-going through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
