FCCLA Donates Can Tabs To Ronald McDonald House

On November 17th, Loretto’s Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) traveled to the Ronald McDonald House in Nashville to deliver can tabs that they collected from generous donations.

South Lawrence BETA club made a major contribution of Pull tabs and were rewarded with juice and doughnuts from Loretto High FCCLA and HOSA.

They received a tour of the facility from one of the volunteers there and learned about the organization and its mission.

The Ronald McDonald House collects pull tabs and sells them in to a recycler to help offset the expenses of offering families a home away from home during the prolonged hospitalization of a child.

The House is also in need of basic necessities, such as paper towels, bed sheets, and laundry soap, and any other item that is typically used on a daily basis.

Each FCCLA member brought with them of laundry products to donate to The House. Loretto High FCCLA and HOSA collect pull-tabs throughout the year, so begin saving your pull-tabs for our visit to Ronald McDonald House next November.

Pull-tabs can be delivered to Vickie Bosheers, FCCLA adviser at Loretto High School at any time during the year.

If you have any questions about other ways you can offer assistance to the Ronald McDonald House, visit their website at www.rmhc.com .
