Resident Reports Thieves Took Trailer Frame And Axle, Left Tires

   A suspect has been identified in connection with the theft of a house trailer frame and axle from a Kelso Road property.

   The property owner contacted the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday afternoon when he discovered the theft had occurred. He reported that someone had stolen the frame and axle sometime between 5:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. that day.

   In addition, the property owner indicated that someone had dumped approximately 200 tires on his land.

   Reports show that deputies made contact with officials at a local recycling center. One deputy reports he found property fitting the description of the stolen items had been sold to the business. A worker was able to give deputies the name of the individual who allegedly sold them the items.

   Investigation into the incident is continuing at the present time.
