Agenda Announced For Council’s Thursday Meeting

Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council are slated to meet in regular session Thursday morning to consider several items of business.

Council members will consider passage of two ordinances. The first is to amendment the current canine intake and service fee schedules along with related municipal codes, and comply with the Tennessee Anti-Rabies and Spay/Neuter Law.

The second ordinance concerns amendment of the city’s Personnel Rules and Regulation and the Lawrenceburg Municipal Code.

Three resolutions are scheduled to be brought for a vote. The first would authorize the sale of not-to-exceed $2.75 million in general obligation refunding bonds and the levy of ad valorem taxes.

A second resolution calls for the approval of a payment-in-lieu-of-tax lease agreement between the Industrial Development Board and TPR America, Inc.

The last resolution is for the council to apply for a fiscal year 2012 THDA Home Grant.

The meeting is open to the public. It will take place on Thursday, January 20, 2012 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Lawrenceburg City Administration Building on West Gaines Street.
