Firearm Wielded During Wednesday Domestic Altercation

Police officers were dispatched to investigate Wednesday when a resident reported a firearm had been brandished during a domestic altercation.

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department responded to the 9:01 p.m. call to the Honeysuckle Drive home. The resident’s son told officers that he and his mother had been involved in an argument earlier in the day.

When he stopped by his mother’s home, he said her male friend stood in the driveway, brandishing a pistol. The victim told officers that the man had never pointed the pistol directly at him, but had only waived it about.

Investigation into the situation has been turned over to detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
