Waynesboro Mom Disappears During Trip To Lawrenceburg

The search is continuing for a young Wayne County mother who disappeared last week while en route to Lawrenceburg.

Authorities initiated the search for twenty-one-year-old Rose Goggins Thursday afternoon after she left her home in Clifton, heading to the first meeting of her EMT class at the Lawrenceburg branch of Columbia State Community College. Wayne County Sheriff Ric Wilson indicates that Goggins never made it to her destination.

Goggins’ car was found Friday, abandoned and burned along a logging road in rural McNairy County. Officials indicate there was no sign of Goggins.

Goggins resides with her fiance’s parents, along with the couple’s ten-month-old son, Aiden. Fiance Steven Beersdorf, who is currently stationed in Mississippi, is slated to deploy to Iraq on February 6.

Anyone who may have seen Goggins or has information regarding her whereabouts is urged to contact authorities as quickly as possible.
